Apt, Luberon

We found it. The ideal small French municipality. Charming, winding mountain road past lavender fields. Trimmed for winter  -one newly planted & cultivated. An entire valley of stone/ochre colored buildings. Into the town - yikes, parking difficult. Found immersible *g* parking down below street level. Waited an worker pulled out, we pulled in. Van asking ng please could we move over. Mike looked & there was room, so he did. Walked back into the centre ville.
Lots pf shops: cheese , bakery, candied fruits, butcher on corner. Several wine & beer bars. Benches for on avenue; we watched people for a while, then went around corner down walking street. Patisserie - we finally had elevenses! A raspberry mousse and a grapefruit citrus flavored Schweppes soda. Kept on walking. Sign for La Platane restaurant just @ midi. We went around the corner and up some stairs. Lovely small restaurant. Specials of day (plat du jour) soumded great. To be continued...
