Stayed in studio w/ young family through laundry, out back door down stone steps to courtyard next to pool. Stone sink on counter. Kaki tree in town square: neither orange nor peach - looked like combination. Walked 500 meter's for dinner(fair walk) so Mike could have wine. Côtes du Rhône from Vaqueryas and duck on brochettes w/ aubergine purée, thickened and shaped in loaf pan, sliced. I thought was warmed; Mike said heat from plate. Very bland as veg.
